Harami beach guide

Harami lines the western shore of Lakka Bay, the sheltered horseshoe harbour in the north of Paxos, next to the beach called Kanoni after its old cannon. It's sandy, with clear, shallow water, which makes it the island's favourite beach for families with young children.

There's a taverna with sunbeds and umbrellas, and watersports in summer. You walk round from Lakka in a few minutes on a tree-shaded path, or come by boat. Lakka itself is a yacht anchorage, so the water by the village is busier than at the beach.

About Harami

Is Harami a sandy beach?
Yes, Harami is a sandy beach. Facilities: sunbeds, taverna, watersports, and family friendly.
Is it easy to park at Harami?
Roadside parking. Spaces are limited and fill up early in summer, so arrive before 10:00 or come by scooter or bus. It's a 5 minute walk from the road.
When is Harami least crowded?
It's one of Paxos and Antipaxos' most popular beaches: in July and August it's busiest from 12:00 to 16:00, so arrive before 10:00 or after 17:00. Outside June–September it's quiet all day.
Which wind is best for swimming at Harami?
The beach faces east, so it's calmest when the wind blows from the west and gets waves when it blows from the east. It stays sheltered when the summer maistros (northwesterly) blows, which makes it a good choice on windy afternoons.
