Kipiadi beach guide

Kipiadi, south of Loggos, is one of the largest beaches on Paxos: a long sweep of pebbles and deep blue water in a protected gulf, surrounded by thick greenery. Because it's sheltered, it's a good choice on windy days, and boats like to anchor off it.

You drive to the top and walk down a steep path for the last 5–7 minutes. There are no facilities and little shade, so bring an umbrella, water and food.

About Kipiadi

Is Kipiadi a sandy beach?
No, Kipiadi is a pebble beach, so water shoes are handy. Facilities: unspoiled nature.
Is it easy to park at Kipiadi?
Roadside parking. Spaces fill up around midday in July and August. It's a 7 minute walk from the road.
When is Kipiadi least crowded?
It gets busy around midday in July and August; mornings and late afternoons are calmer. Outside June–September it's quiet all day.
Which wind is best for swimming at Kipiadi?
The beach faces east, so it's calmest when the wind blows from the west and gets waves when it blows from the east. It stays sheltered when the summer maistros (northwesterly) blows, which makes it a good choice on windy afternoons.
