About Marmari

Is Marmari a sandy beach?
No, Marmari is a pebble beach, so water shoes are handy. Facilities: natural shade and unspoiled nature.
Is it easy to park at Marmari?
Roadside parking. Spaces are limited and fill up early in summer, so arrive before 10:00 or come by scooter or bus. It's a 5 minute walk from the road.
When is Marmari least crowded?
It's rarely crowded, even in August. Outside June–September it's quiet all day.
Which wind is best for swimming at Marmari?
The beach faces east, so it's calmest when the wind blows from the west and gets waves when it blows from the east. It stays sheltered when the summer maistros (northwesterly) blows, which makes it a good choice on windy afternoons.
