Marathias beach guide
Marathias is a long beach of fine sand on the southwest coast near the village of Vitalades, and it runs straight on into Santa Barbara beach with no clear boundary. You'll also see it signposted by its local names, Malta or Marta.
The seabed slopes gently and the water is clear, so it's a popular beach with families. There are sunbeds and umbrellas, showers and changing cabins, beach bars and tavernas, and you can find quieter stretches by walking away from the centre.
It's about 30 km from Corfu Town: take the main road south towards Lefkimmi and follow the signs from Vitalades.
