Boukari beach guide
Boukari is a small fishing hamlet on the southeast coast, where a few fish tavernas line the shore around a little harbour. The beach is a narrow strip of colourful pebbles and coarse sand with clear, shallow and calm water.
It's a low-key place: people come to swim in the calm water, and the fish tavernas by the harbour are the main draw.
Boukari is about 25 km from Corfu Town, past Messonghi.

About Boukari
- Is Boukari a sandy beach?
- No, Boukari is a pebble beach, so water shoes are handy. Facilities: taverna and family friendly.
- Is it easy to park at Boukari?
- Free parking. There's usually space, even in high season. You can drive right up to the beach.
- When is Boukari least crowded?
- It's rarely crowded, even in August. Outside June–September it's quiet all day.
- Which wind is best for swimming at Boukari?
- The beach faces east, so it's calmest when the wind blows from the west and gets waves when it blows from the east. It stays sheltered when the summer maistros (northwesterly) blows, which makes it a good choice on windy afternoons.
