Canal d'Amour beach guide
Canal d'Amour is not one beach but a string of small sandy coves cut into soft sandstone cliffs just west of Sidari. Wind and waves have worn the rock into channels, caves, arches and ledges, and the narrow channel that gives the place its name runs between two of these headlands.
Local legend says that couples who swim through the channel together will stay together. It's one of the most visited spots on Corfu, so in July and August it fills up by mid-morning; come early or in the late afternoon if you want space and softer light for photos. There are a few sunbeds and boat hire in the coves, and plenty of bars and tavernas in Sidari itself.
Sidari is about 36–38 km from Corfu Town, and buses run there from the town's bus station. The cliffs are crumbling, so keep away from their base and don't stand near the edges at the top.
