Gardenos beach guide

Gardenos is a long beach of soft, light golden sand below Vitalades on the southwest coast. A small stream, the Gardenos, reaches the sea in the middle and splits the beach in two, and green hills rise behind it.

The water is usually calm and shallow, which makes it good for children. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available on the central part of the beach, with showers, tavernas and beach bars along the shore; walk away from the centre for more space.

It's about 30 km from Corfu Town: take the Lefkimmi road and follow the signs from Vitalades. There's a large car park right by the beach.
