Agios Stefanos (Avliotes) beach guide

Agios Stefanos (also called Agios Stefanos Avlioton, to tell it apart from the one on the northeast coast) is a long beach of fine sand on the far northwest of Corfu, framed by large rocks and small neighbouring coves.

The water is shallow and warm, which makes it good for children, though seaweed often collects at the water's edge. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired, and there are beach bars, tavernas, boat hire and jet skis. It faces west, so evenings here end with the sun setting into the sea.

It's one of the furthest beaches from Corfu Town, about 38 km away, and buses run there via the town's bus station.
