Agios Georgios Pagon beach guide

Agios Georgios Pagon is a large horseshoe-shaped bay on the northwest coast, with a long beach of sand mixed with fine shingle. The cliffs of Afionas close off its northern end. The water is clear and a little cooler than on the east coast, shallow in places and deeper towards the rocks, where the snorkelling is good.

It's a well-equipped beach, with sunbeds, tavernas, showers, boat hire, a diving school and other watersports. Water taxis and hired boats leave from here for Porto Timoni, which is much easier than the walk.

The bay is about 30 km from Corfu Town, and buses run there from the town. The beach is long and spacious, so there's usually room even in summer.
