Agni beach guide
Agni is a small east-facing bay of small pebbles and shingle on the northeast coast, about 27 km from Corfu Town and 11 km from Kassiopi. The water is crystal clear, and the snorkelling along the coast is excellent.
It's famous for its three family-run tavernas on the waterfront, which serve fresh fish and rent sunbeds to their customers. Many visitors arrive by water taxi or hired boat, which tie up at the small wooden jetties, and lunchtime gets busy with boats.
Parking is very limited and reserved for taverna customers. You can also walk in along an easy coastal path from Kalami.

About Agni
- Is Agni a sandy beach?
- No, Agni is a pebble beach, so water shoes are handy. Facilities: taverna and snorkelling.
- Is it easy to park at Agni?
- Roadside parking. Spaces are limited and fill up early in summer, so arrive before 10:00 or come by scooter or bus. It's a 5 minute walk from the road.
- When is Agni least crowded?
- It gets busy around midday in July and August; mornings and late afternoons are calmer. Outside June–September it's quiet all day.
- Which wind is best for swimming at Agni?
- The beach faces east, so it's calmest when the wind blows from the west and gets waves when it blows from the east. It stays sheltered when the summer maistros (northwesterly) blows, which makes it a good choice on windy afternoons.
