Dafnila beach guide

Dafnila is a quiet, sheltered bay on the Kommeno peninsula on the east coast, overlooking Dassia Bay. The beach is sand, backed by pine and olive trees and shaded lawns.

Most of the bay belongs to resort hotels, and two stretches of the beach, in front of the Eva and Grecotel Daphnila Bay hotels, were awarded Blue Flags in 2026.

About Dafnila

Is Dafnila a sandy beach?
Dafnila has a mix of sand and pebbles. Facilities: sunbeds, natural shade, and family friendly.
Is it easy to park at Dafnila?
Roadside parking. Spaces fill up around midday in July and August. It's a 5 minute walk from the road.
When is Dafnila least crowded?
It's rarely crowded, even in August. Outside June–September it's quiet all day.
Which wind is best for swimming at Dafnila?
The beach faces southeast, so it's calmest when the wind blows from the northwest and gets waves when it blows from the southeast. It stays sheltered when the summer maistros (northwesterly) blows, which makes it a good choice on windy afternoons.
